Having a great weekend at T In The Park! Super excited to share all my shots. Personal favourites so far have definitely been Charli XCX, Haim, Twin Atlantic and The 1975 (oh, and of course Chvrches, but not sure about those photos yet…) Photographed some people I hadn’t before which is always fun, I was pleasantly surprised with George Ezra and Katy B was loads of fun! Looking forward to what day three will bring. Can’t believe this is the last year at Balado. Although I’ve only photographed in the pit there for the last two years, this is my 10th year attending the festival. I’ll be sad to see it go, but excited about the new location and what’s to come. Bye bye, Balado.
HI GUYS! I am now selling prints! £20 for A4 with a thick white border so as to look great in a frame. Any shots from August 2011 onwards would be preferable, however if you just send me a message asking about the photograph(s) you are interested in, I can let you know if it’s possible. Check out my work on DIY - Indulge Sound - (or Flickr for older shots). There are photos from hundreds of acts including the likes of Twin Atlantic, You Me At Six, Mindless Self Indulgence, Haim, Editors, The Maine, Green Day, Chvrches, Bastille… The list goes on! Happy browsing.
This weekend I shot the Friday You Me At Six gig at the O2 Academy in Glasgow, it was a fantastic show put on by the guys with support coming from Young Kato and Don Broco. All the acts were received well by the crowd and totally held their own on such a big stage. I’ve been following the You Me At Six guys career since 2007 and it has truly been a privilege to watch them get bigger and better with every tour. They’ve really stepped it up a notch with their live performance. Stay tuned for some shots from the show. Keep checking Indulge Sound as well for other awesome gig photos, reviews and music news.
This years gig going was kicked off for me by photographing The Blackout at King Tuts. I’ve been a fan for about 8 years now and in my opinion they are one of the best live bands out there. One of those bands that put everything they’ve got into every single performance. King Tuts was no exception to this and started my year off brilliantly. The photos are up on Indulge Sound now so you can check out shots of Rat Attack, Lost Alone and The Blackout. Hopefully going to once again try and use this blog more to post about shows as well as life. Money has come into things a lot for me with being able to travel to gigs to photograph, but I still want to get out there and keep doing the thing I love. Even if it means not shooting quite so much, I’ll hopefully continue photographing the acts whose performances I love capturing live the most.
